Hidden Pages from WWI

The Irish Society for Archives and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral have recently announced that it is holding a free seminar on hitherto unseen archives relating to soldiers and civilian during World War One. Curators representing a variety of national projects and exhibitions will present short papers on sources which they have uncovered through their work.

Speakers include Nicky Ralston (National Library of Ireland, Curator of Ireland and WW1 exhibition), Noelle Dowling (Catholic Diocesan Archives Dublin), Andrew Whiteside (Archivist, Kilkenny College), Susan Hood (Representative Church Body Library), Andrew Smith (Education Officer of St Patrick’s Cathedral), the Very Revd Victor Stacey (Dean of St Patrick’s) and Kerry Houston (Honorary Treasurer of the Irish Society of Archives). Brian Dobson from RTE will chair the proceedings.

The event is free of charge and no booking is required. It will take place in the Lady Chapel of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Tuesday, 3 February at 7pm.
