Date for your diary: COIHS Spring Conference (online), 17 April 2021
The Church of Ireland Historical Society is pleased to announce that it will host its spring conference in a virtual format. It will be held on Saturday, 17 April 2021 and both members and day participants can hear our fantastic four speakers via Zoom Video Conferencing. As always, the first paper will start at 11am, plenty of time to grab your morning tea or coffee and relax from the comfort of your couch!
Confirmed speakers are Dr Brendan Twomey (independent), Dr David Brown (Trinity College, Dublin), and Professor Oonagh Walsh (Glasgow Caledonian University). The research paper will be delivered by Ms Elaine Dinan, who is pursuing her PhD at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
The full programme can be seen below.
The conference is open to all members of the public. You can register online here and instructions on how to connect to the conference will be provided in due course. Members of the Society have free admission. There is a day fee of €10 (or £10) for non-members to assist with the Society’s expenses, but anyone can become a member for €40 or £40 (please note our student rate is €15 or £15). If you wish to join the Society but are unable to hear the papers you will be given exclusive access to our podcasts which now include more than thirty papers dating back to 2013. We’re looking forward to an interesting day and hope to see many of you online! For the time being, please keep safe.
